A Video Addressed to the Desk of Mr Russell T. Davies

  1. Was Russell T really planning on pushing it past 13 regens? (which would totally kill me, it worked for the master, but i cant forsee a way the doctor could do it without killing somebody)
And just a side note, tennants random growth and flying through the air over the master is technically plausible, and follows continuity from a 3rd doctor episode *gets on her who high horse*.
I'm still not sure what your issue with Davies is...to be honest i've been much happier with 9th and 10th episodes as opposed to almost all the 11th episodes by moffat; the things that made Doctor Who seem to be totally lacking.

Maybe i'm expecting too much from Moffat, demanding ever more suspense and complexity of story line, but he let me down with the 2010 series, and i'm not sure how he's going to pull me back in.

  2. Okay, maybe plausible was the wrong word to use... how about 'credible' I found that the whole thing lacked credibility. Why? Well mostly because it seemed to come the hell out of nowhere. Leading up to there the episode had seemed very solid, everything given decent explanation and exposition as to why it happened, but then all of a sudden it turned out that the power of 'love' was the key. Where as in the Pandorica episode, the logic and the reality of the Box and the episode had been built up, and the reveal was more of a twist on what we believed, rather than a dumping of information in our laps.

For me the Moffat season was really good, a lot more of the thinking Doctor than the running explosions one, that's not to say they weren't there. For me episodes like The Hungry Earth / Cold Blood were some of the better mixes of Meta story arch and high running emotion that I've seen in the new series, and no that's not to say it did it better than Army of Ghosts / Doomsday its more to say that it did it well.

Even the throw away episodes, like Vincent and the Doctor and The Lodger were solid. Seriously point me to an episode that stands up as well as those two in the other series? And no you can't use a Moffat episode.
